Damn, long week fo' sho'
Friday, you're my bestest friend
Sunday, you old bitch.

Please forgive if my haiku skills are lacking. (meaning you counted and its not truly a haiku but just the crazy ramblings of a person who was a literature major not a MATH major. Jeez who ever counts syllables anyway?)

but the weather is just right here today and we had a bbq at my work

all of which has put me in a dreamy, summer-afternoon mood

which is oh-so-conducive to slacking off & playing cool tunes.

I think I'm going to try & go berry picking this weekend, taking a cue from Coeur de La

Find some nice juicy ones perfect for jamming.

 That or be a beach bum, bike down to the sand and take a long nap.

This Friday I am thankful.

That it is Friday.

That I have a boyfriend who I love and I get to fall asleep to every night.

and wake up to every morning.

That I have this outlet

and a few good men who follow my sometimes bizarre little life story.

And who entertain me with theirs.

People say that life gives you lemons.

But I would really prefer some good limes.

So I could use them to chase my tequila shots.

or garnish my vodka tonics.

I've come to find that blogging really highlights all of my character flaws. And I do not appreciate it! lol
For example, after our fair adventures I was supposed to take a bunch of pictures of my clips & post them to etsy & plan a giveaway and notify all you lovely ladies and. . .
the list goes on.
Things I am supposed to do but don't ever get around to.
I fear my gravestone will read "Rachel, the girl who never got around to it" :)
Then I get embarrassed because as I said my shortcomings are on display, for all you readers to read and noticers to notice!
I'm sure at this point you are shaking your head, thinking to yourself "Geez Rachel we all have lives, we don't have the time to notice that kind of crap" (at least I am hoping this is what you are thinking lol)
But maybe this forced self-reflection is a good thing, because I'm sure I could use some accountability in my life.
Whatever happened to the good old days where my mom checked my homework for me?
Oh well it's Friday and although no one checks my homework anymore, no one checks my drinking habits either. Which means they are free to do as they please!

I told you I had certain flights of fancy.

I went to Wildcat Lounge on Saturday 

& danced my pants off with the bf.

Were quite the dancing pair.

Ah T.G.I.F. And I can breathe again. FYI about me, I only really let myself feel relaxed on weekends. I just don't know how to function as one of those "after work happy hour" people. I'm an "after work, cook dinner & sit back with a glass of wine" type of person.

So again, T.G.I.F. Hope everyone has wonderful plans. I'm trying to get the bf to have a beach picnic with me this evening but hes more a restaurant type of guy ;)

I think we'll compromise and have dinner on the pier. Then my friend will be heading up from LA tomorrow and well probably lounge around in the heatwave expected this weekend.

Get excited for Monday because I've been tagged by Adventures of a Wife & Mom to show you the contents of my purse. I can tell you it ain't going to be pretty

I want this little guy to be my new best friend. What a better way to welcome the weekend than with a smiling face? Not to mention his super hip hairstyle, I swear this alpaca screams rock-&-roll! :)

This weekend the bf & I will be heading to a hot springs resort to celebrate our 3rd (yes to those incredulous souls out there, that's 3 years of mayhem) anniversary.

Some wine tasting, some hot tub-ing. Sounds too good to be true.

In order to celebrate I thought I'd share a little something pretty.

Apparently my 'big pink pony' post where I mentioned the possibility of a booze-fueled weekend, 

caused AdSense to think that I have a drinking problem 

and advertise drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers.

Don't you judge me AdSense.

I'm a social drinker

and a free thinker.
