Weekend Review: Santa Barbara Solstice

This weekend Santa Barbara enjoyed the first weekend of summer with its annual Solstice Parade.  With its man made and operated floats, extravagant costumes and a general "carnaval" type of feel the summer solstice is one of my favorite times in Santa Barbara. Dancers, drummers, and Capoiera performers headed down State Street in joyous celebration of the upcoming warm breezes and sunny skies. Happy Solstice everyone!

The colors, floats, and performers looked like they made for a fabulous time!

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments! I will certainly be posting more DIYs and recipes soon!
I got engaged in Paris too! I say keep working, wouldn't the "oui" ring be a great reminder of those times?

Hope to see you around soon and will be back as well!
